Benefab® stands for ‘Beneficial Fabrics’. We are a small business that is dedicated, heart and soul, to the well-being of people and animals alike. This business was founded during the recovery process of a tragic accident that the owner experienced. The accident itself left her in a life-changing condition which you can read more about here. After refining the product line through customer feedback and rigorous testing, it began growing and expanding organically. As the company grew, the line flourished and began getting attention from many large distributors in the industry.

Do you have products for small animals?
Yes! Our Canine Comfort & Care Shirt as well as our Canine Comfort Suit are both popular choices—Whether your pup needs comfort and support or help recovering from an injury. Additionally, we specifically designed the Comfort Sleeves for post surgery. Not only are the fabrics beneficial in healing, but the sleeves also serve as a barrier to licking and chewing on wounds or incision sites. Our current customers have great success using some of our existing products as well. For example, cats and dogs LOVE laying on our Therapeutic Blanket—Try laying it across their favorite bed and see the results... Hence, the Swaddle-Size.
How do the products work?
All the products in the Benefab® line are designed to be effective, durable, and easy to care for—Without sacrificing style and appearance. The science behind the products is both innovative and research-backed. Our product line is made up of materials that are proven to increase circulation and reduce inflammation. They do so by emitting far-infrared wavelengths (a low-range, invisible ray of light on the electromagnetic spectrum) that penetrate down to the deep tissue level, exciting the Oxygen atoms within the water molecules in the blood. This increases blood circulation (dilates capillaries) and ultimately reduces inflammation and can aid in healing of old and new injuries.
What are some effects of Far-Infrared therapy?
A few of the beneficial effects of far-infrared therapy have been discovered throughout many years of comprehensive research completed by Scientists and Doctors. This research has proven it to be an effective natural health remedy. Some of these effects include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Rejuvenation of skin and muscle tissue

When do you begin to feel the effects of our wearable wellness products?
The answer to this question varies from case to case – dependent upon the animals’ or humans’ symptoms and/or their current health condition. One may start feeling the pain-relieving benefits almost immediately for products that are placed directly against the skin, while others wearing our products may take several (up to three) weeks to notice and feel the full results.
Is it Scientifically Proven & Research-Backed?
Yes! Benefab® was founded with a purpose to help others find relief for their pain and soreness from injury or trauma—Something the founder knows very well. When she began using far-infrared emitting products herself, there was no doubt in her mind that she needed to share them with the world. Through countless trials and designs, she perfected the products with the end-user in mind, whether that be you or your animals.

How do I start using the products & how long should I use them?
If you have never used a similar therapy prior to becoming a Benefab® customer, we recommend starting by slowly introducing the fabric by beginning to wear the materials for no more than 4 hours at a time. After implementing this regiment for 4-6 days, your body (or your animal) will have had time to familiarize itself with the actual effects of the material.
Due to the high increase in blood circulation, although unlikely, it is possible for the human and/or animal body to react with slight pain and swelling. If pain or swelling occurs within this first week, simply discontinue use of the product at that time, and re-introduce it the next day.
Once, you feel comfortable with the fabric up to four hours at a time, you may increase your wear of the products as comfort allows. We recommend you wear the product(s) as much as possible for at least 3 weeks for healing and therapeutic measures to take effect.
Are Benefab® products magnetic?
Only our SMART products contain medical-grade magnets. However, most of our products are made up of mineral-infused materials only which emit FIR (Far-Infrared) rays. This is not a type of magnetic therapy and should not be compared to magnetic therapy. All of our products for people can be used with people who have pacemakers or any other implants as our products will not affect the function of these devices. However, we recommend customers with pacemakers or other implants to exercise caution when dealing with SMART Equine products.

Do Benefab® fabrics make users warm?
Although our products provide a heat-based therapy, it is not your typical heat therapy such as a heating pad. You won’t feel the warmth of our products the same way you would if using a traditional heating pad. All our products are uniquely designed to wick away moisture, as well as maintain breathability. For the winter months, however, we have products designed for warmth such as our scarf and blanket. The majority of our products, including our Socks, Polos, SmartHood, and SmartScrim have been designed for year-round use.
Will the products burn my horse?
Never. Our products provide gentle therapy that cannot burn or blister if used alone.
How durable are the Benefab® materials?
We know how much damage our equine friends can cause, so we make sure to use high quality, durable materials so that you can rest easy knowing they’ll hold up to the rigors of daily use. Benefab® products are created with an emphasis on effectiveness, durability, and longevity.
Are they washable?
Of course! Every Benefab® product is Machine washable. Refer to these easy instructions below:
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent (do not use bleach or fabric softeners).
- Line dry – DO NOT tumble dry or iron over 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Avoid leaving your products out in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time (i.e. hanging on a clothesline in direct sun all day).
Please note: Excessive heat may damage the mineral blend in the material and/or hinder the results of the fabric.
What is SMART therapy?
Our SMART therapy refers to the combination of far-infrared and magnetic therapy. We combine the two therapies by sewing medical-grade, neodymium magnets atop well-known acupuncture points to create a more targeted therapy in addition to the overall far-infrared emitting therapy. Each magnet is sewn into place with the North (healing) side facing the body.
Why Magnets?
We use medical-grade magnets to best replicate acupuncture therapy. This theory is successful because the polarity of each magnet draws the blood closely around the magnet stimulating that specific area (in this case, the specific acupuncture point). This provides an immediate, targeted therapy.
In ancient (and current) Chinese medicine, acupuncture is performed by using one’s own blood to re-inject over targeted acupuncture points. The reasoning for this method is because the body takes quite some time to re-absorb its own blood after being placed in targeted areas – Therefore, prolonging the benefits. We have selected these magnets to serve to the affect by pulling the blood to those targeted areas which will continually stimulate those areas during and after our SMART products are worn.
Each of our products harmonizes bodily functions safely and naturally while stimulating recovery time, promoting blood circulation, increasing oxygen flow, and ultimately reducing pain and stiffness.
What makes Benefab® saddle pads unique?
Besides having therapeutic, far-infrared emitting fabrics on the underside of our saddle pads, they are also anti-slip. Each pad features small nodules on the underside which serve dual purposes: anti-slip and to provide better aeration for a cooler underside and less sweat.
In addition to these benefits, our saddle pads also feature a moisture/dirt resistance on the top side. The topside material wicks away moisture and dirt easily and completely. The material itself is easy-to-clean, quick-dry, stain-resistant and does not wrinkle.
